How can I restore my files to a new computer?

If the computer you are backing up has died or you just want to restore files onto a new computer follow these steps:

Our service will only allow you to install the software on as many devices as the current plan will allow. If all your device slots are used up you will need to revoke an old device from your account or modify your plan to include additional devices.

Steps to revoke a device from your account:

  • Login to the client area: https://eazybackup.ca/accounts/
  • Locate the account you want to modify listed under “My Active Services”, click “Manage Service” to modify this account
  • Click the “Revoke” button next to the Device you want to remove from the account
  • Revoking a device will not cancel billing, and data from that device is not removed.
  • After you revoke the device you should see that you have 1 Devices available.
  • Install eazyBackup on the new computer
  • Open eazybackup, start the restore process and check the box “Show items from other devices” to show protected items from other computers in your account.

If you want to modify the plan to include two or more workstations / servers.

  • Login to the client area: https://eazybackup.ca/accounts/
  • Locate the account you want to modify listed under “My Active Services”, click “Manage Service” to modify this account
  • Click the “Addon Storage & Devices” button
  • Modify the plan to include one or more additional devices.
  • After you update the plan you should have additional device slots available
  • Install eazyBackup on the new computer
  • Open eazybackup, start the restore process and check the box “Show items from other devices” to show protected items from other computers in your account.
