Another backup job is already running for this same Protected Item and Storage Vault, skipping...
If you receive this message in your backup job logs, it's possible that a previous backup job left your storage vault in a locked state, preventing new jobs from starting.
The eazyBackup application on the customer PC is responsible for closing-off a job, there are certain situations where a job would be left in "Running" state indefinitely, for e.g due to network issues or If the PC is shut down unexpectedly during the final phase of the backup job.
The vault in use must be unlocked before new jobs can proceed.
1. Run a retention pass on the storage vault to cancel abandoned / inactive jobs and unlock the vault. From the Settings Panel, right click on the Storage vault in use -> Advanced -> Apply retention rules now
Once the retention pass has been completed, try running the backup job again to confirm the issue has been resolved. In some cases running the retention pass may not clear the vault lock. In this case, proceed to step 2.
2. Updating the eazyBackup application will also release the locks on the storage vault. Download the latest release and install the application over top of your current installation https://eazybackup.ca/download/.
If you have multiple devices backing up to a single storage vault, you will need to determine which device has locked the storage vault and then perform the software update on that device.
